Term Frequency (TF): Measures the frequency of a word within a document.

Inverse Document Frequency (IDF): Measures how important a word is in the entire collection of documents.

The TfidfVectorizer calculates TF-IDF scores for each word in the documents, and you can use the resulting feature matrix as input for various machine-learning algorithms.

The Passive-aggressive classifier is an online learning algorithm used for classification tasks. The name "Passive Aggressive" reflects its behavior of being passive when predictions are correct and aggressive when they are incorrect, allowing it to quickly adjust to changing data patterns.

Manipulating data and getting paid highly is a dream of a Tech enthusiast.

And beginners often confuse Data Scientist with other roles like Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer. However, these all overlap with each other on the responsibilities and skills needed. The confusion is mainly due to the label companies are giving to their employees. So, a data scientist at one company can be a data engineer at other. It depends on the size of the company too.

Then comes Machine learning, a subset of AI, and these all combine to give a migraine-Esque headache to beginners. So, from my experience and some research, I've tried to simplify things up regarding what they are and how to get one`s hands onto them.

There's this world we live in and there are numerous problems that we have to solve. These can be any sort belonging to a business, government, education, health, or almost anything. And we need a huge amount of data to solve the problem. We can collect data through various surveys, data usages, and simulations. After we have obtained and stored our data, comes tasks of data cleaning and analyzing. We have various tools to analyze the data and find a pattern. Analyzing data basically means restructuring them according to our needs and also dealing with missing data. This can sound mammoth for a beginner, but simple projects like a website dashboard or an app will be enough to get hands-on experience. Then we perform several statistical analyses and tests on our data, to kind of tell if the data is meeting our requirement or not. This process is done by a Data Scientist or a Data Analyst. Then he/she creates a report about the visualization of the data and submits it to the project employer. Furthermore, if we want something, which communicates with the real world, we need to implement various machine learning algorithms and test them out to create what is called a Data Product. This is also done by a Data Scientist or a Machine Learning Engineer, again depending on the label companies give.

That was just a basic overview of what is done by a Data Scientist. Keep in mind, as a beginner we don`t need to dive right in, we can do simple starter projects as I mentioned above for actually grabbing an insight.

Here, I lay out a basic pathway to becoming a Data Scientist. This is just from my experience and the way I took several courses as a beginner.

Python for Data Science
a) Functions and Strings
b) List and Tuples
c) Sets and Dictionaries

Numpy

Pandas

Matplotlib

Seaborn Data Visualizations

Data Analysis Capstone Projects

A lot of courses on Udemy, Coursera, Cognitive Class cover all these topics from the very basics. There are also several resources on Github, Youtube, and Kaggle where we can learn and view other's work. And one of the dilemmas I got myself was into spending several days on finding the right course. Then I realized there's no such thing as a perfect course, we can learn from any of the verified resources online, we should just have the grit. And after covering the basics, we shouldn`t jump right into Deep Learning and Neural networks. The best way to learn is through practice, so it's always better to do several projects which will definitely help us gain experience and boost our learning confidence.

AI-based
electronic devices, AI-powered software, and AI-crafted solutions are all that are making hype in the technological market.

But what actually is Artificial Intelligence? Who and how this concept was coined?

Artificial Intelligence as its name defines is a core branch of computer science that is
associated with the creation of computer devices having humans like intelligence. Though sometimes it is taken into the misconception that Machine Learning is similar to Artificial Intelligence, but the ultimate level of Machine learning is Artificial Intelligence. It is the same as how we, humans process and understand our intelligence and adapt to the environment, the same way devices are programmed such that they self-understand the situation and acts upon it. They are capable of understanding and process natural language.

Though AI is making hype in recent time, this concept was coined back in 1955 by
John McCarthy as he founded AI labs at MIT and Stanford, and created the computer language Lisp (for List Processing Language).

Why is it making so much hype now?

The way AI is heating the market is absolutely fine as big tech giants like Google,
Facebook, Amazon, or Apple are promoting every product linked with AI. Take it
google assistant, Apple Siri, Amazon Alexa, or Facebook reply bots. Though the AI is very infant to talk about but its impacts has already been seen in the world. Our lives have considerably been easier with the use of these infant levels of AI that, we are so much interested to talk more and more about this technology. The way it can learn by itself, the way it can work without fatigue, and understanding the consequences of the work has helped in productivity. It can help us in researching and exploring better than what traditional computer programs couldn’t do has made the idea of Artificial Intelligence so much hyped now.

How AI is being used by us in the present-day?

AI can serve humans in many ways, some of them are listed below:

Many programs like google Deep Mind has already been started that aim to make the world better using this same technology.

Various startups like IDX-DR, ADA Help, Nimblr AI use AI technology to diagnose the patients and give correct information about the illness.

AI-based selling and buying platforms like Amazon and Alibaba has considerably
changed the traditional laws of demand and supply in the entire globe.

Voice assistant like Siri and Alexa are prime examples how people can we can use a machine that is intelligent enough to make our daily life easier by reminding about
our important dates, appointments to turning the house light automatically.

Self-driving car is another prime example of how AI has made human life easier.

YouTube, Pandora, Netflix, and Spotify also use a small part of AI to understand our
interests and recommends songs, videos, and shows based on the way we use these
platforms.

In the same way, Google and Facebook use AI technology to track the behavior of the
people and create targeted advertisement which is way better than traditional
marketing ideas.

What are the other technical terms interconnected with AI?

Artificial Intelligence doesn’t come alone, many other technical concepts are
interconnected with it. The various fields that make AI-complete are as follows:

Deep Learning

Machine learning

Data Mining

Logic Programming

Natural Language Processing

Neural Network

Knowledge Engineering

Semantic Network

Speech Recognition

Turing Test and many more.

Does it have only a plus point, if not how?

As we all know everything comes with a price. AI too has few back-points. Though AI is still in its infancy level, few negative effects can already be felt. Few are listed below:

The most questionable thing comes to mind when it is about computers that are
designed to have the power to think themselves. What if they become too heavy and
powerful that humans’ control over them doesn’t work anymore? What if machines
rule over humans? What if the scenes of movies like Ex-Machina, Terminator and
Pacific Rim became real?

The use of self-learning machines will surely create more unemployment problems
because their use will not only save a lot of money but also increase productivity over humans.

Machines can easily lead to destruction if wrong hands get excess to them.

As we have already felt, humans have been too dependent on AI-based products that they have lost their own mental potential.

We all said, AI will have the potential to think themselves. But on contrary,
they are actually just a collection of logical programming. So, they might never have
that original creativity that we human has.

Conclusion!!

AI is a great scientific approach, a great human work, and a prime example of human creativity. It is still in the infancy level, so its optimum level is still a long way to grab in few years. We can only conceptualize what it can do. There are also people like Mark Zuckerberg who believes AI will have no harm for humanity, and there are people like Elon Musk who has already started feeling the harm that AI can have for entire human civilization. What will happen, if the robots will eventually keep humans under control with their self-creativity or just, they will be a piece of coding and do whatever coder makes them do is still too early to say. In a nutshell, AI can give both positives as well as negatives as it all depends on how we decide to drive them.

A quote on AI

“The pace of progress in artificial intelligence (I’m not referring to narrow AI) is incredibly fast. Unless you have direct exposure to groups like Deepmind, you have no idea how fast—it is growing at a pace close to exponential. The risk of something seriously dangerous happening is in the five-year timeframe. 10 years at most.” —Elon Musk wrote in a comment on Edge.org

I learned haircutting for months, a while back. The only thing left was a dare, a push which I got from my friends, Dipesh and Prabin. But of course, my family won’t allow it. So, we decided to go to the bank for a loan.

I, Dipesh, and Prabin went inside the bank. Cashiers, Accountants, and staff, dressed in fancy suits, the best way to establish goodwill were a Namaste. So I greeted them all with namaste except the head manager. He was wearing shorts, I thought he was the cleaning guy. And to make the situation worse, I pointed him the dust on the chairs and said, “Looks like one of us isn`t doing our job properly.” He acted confused and left.

I headed towards the reception while my friends leaped to the corner. The receptionist was hot but I was too focused on my goal to hit some lines on her. I told her about the loan. She picked up the phone and rang, maybe to the manager. Next, she pointed me the door to the manager`s office. I “gun-pointed” my hands and exclaimed “gotcha” but the look on her face replied, “It is not cool.”

(Inside the manager`s office)

I double knocked, and he turned his chair to face me.

“Woah. How do you even have the courage to sit on the manager`s chair? Did you even put out the dust I showed you before? You know you may be the reason I might have second thoughts about business with this bank.”

He goes, “Wait. I can explain.”

“What? What possible explanation can you have? That your lazy ass can`t work?”

His look changes. He starts getting angry and as I go on criticizing him I realize maybe, I had already fucked up my goal.

I maffled, “You
re the manager, aren
t you?”

He smirks, “Damn right, I`m.”

I felt betrayed by myself. I look down and murmur, “What do I do now?”

He says, “Today was my day off and I came back here after just hitting the gym for an emergency.”

“Look I
m sorry. I didn
t mean what I said earlier.”

He smeared, “Oh really?”

I couldn
t control but said, “Well you
re the one wearing the shorts.”

“Do you really want to go that way to start a business talk? Its a waste of my own time. Now get the hell out of my office.”

I was afraid. “No, no, just listen to my ideas. Please.”

(Outside)

Prabin was already bored. He looks around and says to dipesh, “I dare you to steal the tied pen on the cashier`s desk.”

Dipesh mumbles, “What? Why would I do that?”

Prabin, in a manipulative manner, “ Its a dare. You don
t question a dare. Just admit you
re afraid.”

“But look up, there are CCTVs covering every corner of the bank.”

“They are up just for a show. No one watches it live. Don`t be a pussy now.”

Dipesh breathing in, “Naah. I can do it easily. Keep your eyes open and see me pull off a heist.” and he walks towards the cashier. Reaching there he engages a conversation with the cashier, trying to untie the pen from the thread.

(Inside the manger`s office)

“Here, I
ve brought my ideas and the rest of the information.” I slide the file across the silver glass table. “I have even mailed it to the bank
s account, you can look it there too.”

“Alright let me take a look at these papers.” He opens the paperwork but his eyes stuck on the laptop`s screen and he exclaims “ What the hell! What is he doing?”

I ask, “What is who doing?”

He looks at me and says, “He came with you. I saw you enter the door with 2 others and one of them is this idiot.”

“Are you calling my friend an idiot? I stood up and walked towards him, “You have no right”….and as I saw the screen myself I went, “Oh you goddamn idiot. Is he? Is he really trying to steal the pen?”

The manager says, “No, he can
t. Look at him, he
s afraid of being caught. He can`t even untie the thread.”

I look directly into the manager`s eyes, “Wanna bet?”

He calls, “If he does manage to steal the pen, we have a deal. But if he doesn`t…”

I interrupt him and say, “ I`m gonna walk back empty-handed.”

5 minutes pass and he`s still playing there with the string and the pen. Now, the cashier is also giving him a suspicious look. I murmured, “Bella Ciao Bella Ciao Bella Ciao Ciao Ciao. You can do it, you son of a bitch. You were born to do this.”

But soon after, Dipesh wipes out sweats off his face, leaves the pen there, and goes back nodding his head to Prabin.

The manager shouts, “Yaaaasshhhhh!”

I couldn`t believe what I saw. I needed a chair to sit down. I lost. I felt it was my bank and it fell to the ground.

The manager
s still laughing. “Off you go, shoo. Close the door on your way out.” And he adds, “Talk to your father about your ideas first, these finances aren
t that easy and you need proper guidance.”

I leave the office and we walk out. I told them I have to discuss it with my father first and then only propose a loan.

Prabin says, “Oh okay.” And he adds, “Listen while you were inside the office…..”

The air had already smelt morning and cooler when my eyes finally gave up around 3. Till then some mosquitoes became a victim of my lividness. I feel bad for them but they did deserve it for the ‘Kun Faya Kun’ they kept murmuring.

I
ve been becoming more aggressive. This whole lockdown and quarantine are fucking things up for me. Also, there
s already so much tension build up in the family. I just hope, come more days, we won`t swordplay each other with spoons.

I hoped a shower and a nice cup of tea will heal the stuffiness but I didn
t feel the slightest boost. It
s been 2 days since I smoked the last pipe of the cigarette I had. I don
t know how I managed to suppress the urge for the two days but I can
t run longer. I have to go out and buy some packs. But with corona on the air, we could step out of the house only for “emergency needs.” I don`t think cigarettes would fall under “emergency” according to the police. They are almost in every corner to minimize the number of people on the streets. But the shops are around 15 to 20 mins walking distance and I needed someone, a friend to go with.

Luckily, I have a friend living 2 houses down. Bishal, he is one of those friends who are called with their surname. I dialed him,

Ring…ring..ring…

“Hello,” he answers.

“Chhetri, what you doing?”

“Not much.”

“I need your help, come here.”

Some minutes later he arrives. I told him we
re about to break the law and he
s like “You son of a bitch, I
m in.” I grabbed some money and two plastic guns too, the ones for the kids to play, don
t ask me why. We peeked outside and didn
t see any guards loitering around. It was the perfect time for our maneuver to begin. We walked along the side of the road through the culvert hoping we
d go unseen.

Soon after a couple of minutes, “Look a policeman is coming this way” and we sprinted inside the nearest house. He didn
t see us. And no, there wasn
t a dog waiting for us for more drama like in the movies. Thank lord. We were really scared because if any of the policemen caught us we`d be whacked. As we were walking we kept rotating our heads for the 360* view and rushed our way up. Repeating it a couple of times we finally reached the shop.

I asked the tall guy on the counter for four packs of cigarettes. I realized my money could cover another pack and asked him to add one more. As he was handling me packs of cigarettes I was already smoking them in my head. Everything was perfect. The big smile on Chhetri`s face said: “We did it, man.”

“Them?” I heard a hoarse voice and looked back. He was a policeman. He was waiting inside the shop for guys like us to beat the shit out of and that motherfucker bamboo, he sold us out. I don
t know how I got the courage but I actually pointed my finger at him and said, “Where is your mask?” His eyes, his eyes were telling “I
m gonna eat you two bitches, alive.”

I turned to my friend and shouted, “Runnnnnn.” We ran. We ran our legs off. And the policeman, right behind us trying to catch up. I didn`t know when he called for backup but soon there were 2 new faces following us. As we were running my friend shouts,

“Did you try the free pornhub premium?”

I couldn
t believe it. I go, “The fuck is wrong with you. No, I haven
t.”

“What? I`m just trying to establish a conversation. But why?”

Again, astounded. I say “I
m on no fap. I
m avoiding porn for some time.”

“Aah man you have to use it when it
s free. After corona, it
s all gone.”

“Okayyyyy.”

“Those fuckers…I think they are going to catch us soon. They are closing in.” I gasped.

As we were running we could see a big star at the end of the road, on the turning. I wondered where the hell did that come from and pointed it to him, “What is that star?”

We`re frightened. We were sure things are going to get worse. And he shouts, “What should we do?”

“I don`t know. Should we show them the guns we brought? That might keep them back a further distance.”

He says, “But we haven
t brought the bullets man, they
re of no use.”

“What? What? Why?” I explode. I wanted to hit him on the head for acting dumbass. “Why are you being a jackass? They have a real gun. Bullets or not, it doesn
t matter, it
s a fucking plastic gun. You can
t do shit with this. Don
t lag, keep running.”

We took out the gun, held it above our head so that they could see. They deaccelerated and our plan worked. I shouted to my friend, “Hey look, I think we`ll lose them soon.” And as I said that we heard a big buzzing noise. I also felt wind hitting on our back and the air was mudded. The only thing I could see was three big glowing stars, again at the end of the road, on the turning. Out of nowhere, a helicopter appeared right above us. We resonated, “Woah! What the fuckkkk?” “Is this a bloody video game?”

I ask Chhetri, “ Hey, do you have a lighter?”

“No. What? Do you want to sit and light up a cigarette now? Are you out of your goddamn mind?”

“Yeahhhhhh, I don`t think we are going to get out of this alive. So, might as well strip off the parch and go down euphoric.”

Something hit me on my hand, I just felt a pinch, might be a rubber gun they shot from the helicopter. I hit a rock and fell on the ground. My eyes are still open but there
s a blackout. I can
t see, its dark. The buzzing continues. And a minute later I realize I`m on the floor beside my bed and a mosquito flying around. I felt the mosquito bite on my hand. As I turn to the watch it’s 4:30 in the am. I felt sweaty.

“Me and my dreams. Huh,” I smirked and went back to sleep.

The storks gently flying right through the colors and the dark clouds aligned, waiting up to burst.

And on the terrace she was, wearing a bluish-white top extending to her knees, her wavy hairs to her back and some stuck on her shoulders & then the gentle flip, biting her kissable red lips she wonders if she would ever look as beautiful as the sunset. In her eyes there
s hope, that the blind boy says; You
re.

She didn
t know my eyes were on her. No, I wasn
t looking at the dying sun, but her. Her perkiness was endearing. I don
t know how many minutes passed by when suddenly I saw a sprinkle on her face. I was so cored into her that everything went bleared and I even didn
t feel the drops hitting me. She went down the floor and so did I.

I was peeking from the window, she lives across the street. I was sure she`d come on the balcony and likewise, she did. Soon, the falling of rain was deafening.

She stretches her hand to hold the drops of rain. The smile on her face as she was doing, artistic. She was genuinely happy as if the rain will never stop. I can
t put into words how beautiful she looked. I got heart erection. She was so soft, for every drop of rain I feared it
d make her fragile.

She puts both hands on the railing and looks up inclined as her eyes close. The raindrops now clink one by one on her face, it appeared so viscous, slowly moving all the way to her lips tracing a path for others to follow. She opens her eyes and it locks with mine. I looked down, a reflex. After some moment when I look up, her eyes are still on me.

She humored, “Gravity?”

Damn. I couldn`t speak. I giggled, running my hand through my hair.

The quiet, long lapse of silence and just for a moment everything was right. I murmured, “How beautiful a part of our species could be.” She kept smiling and wasn`t bothered by the attention she was getting. She knew, perhaps, she is beautiful than the sunset.

As she went inside I came back into my room and threw myself on the bed and replayed everything in my head that happened in the last twenty minutes. It was beautiful. Maybe quarantine isn`t going to be that difficult. I always hoped for a rain, a rain lasting long enough to fill the empty pores inside me, the restructuring from the bottom in order for me to feel alive again. Is she the rain?

I didn
t buy it. But after some minutes I couldn
t resist but call him and he was like “Naah, just joking”. And he says, “Maybe we should post it on Facebook. Just “Positive” not mentioning anything other and see how people react.” It`s a fun idea though, someone should try that.

Then my friend asks “What did you do today?”

I said, “Nothing.”

He goes “Movies or series?”

“Naah”

“Did you read?”

I said “Nope” with some guilt in my voice. I should`ve read.

He asks “Well you must have at least done something?”

Then I realized I literally did nothing. For a moment I looked up at the ceiling and thought of something that would classify but no, not a darn thing. Just a day lying on my back as the hour hand circumambulates.

Some of my friends suggest me to read books, write fiction, watch a series and all. I always ignore the former ones. And for the latter, “Bitch please.” Over the years, I think I
ve watched around 50+ shows so I guess I
ve pretty much mastered the art. And suggestions, they
re fine but until I ask for them, you don
t have to wank.

These days, there
s so much fiddle-faddle about productivity on the internet. Everybody
s like, you gotta utilize the time. You have to be creative. I agree with them. We can tick a whole lot of things off our bucket list. But the problem with me is I
m lethargic these days. This whole quarantine thing is somehow eating me up. Not a single activity excites me. I
m a misanthrope and even ‘going out and having fun’ isn
t my kinda thing. This baffles me. I shouldn
t be in the state which I
m currently in. This used to recharge me but it
s the contrast. So, for starters, I`m trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with me. Along the way, I hope I can root out the ‘lousy’ in me and then things will start unfolding. And some people, even go to the extent of saying “ Do something, this time won’t come again.” Frankly, the fuck is wrong with these people? No one wants a sequel to this.

At the end of the day, I`m always glad. I did the bigger picture. I stayed home. I survived. And I hope you all do the same.

From very basic simpler devices to latest personalized computers and smartphones, we`ve seen it all. There are many companies now racing on the path of mechanization and Apple is definitely one of them. With a futuristic vision and hard work of many veterans, things have been made possible for the betterment of human life. There have been many rises and falls of such technologies till now and among one of them, Apple covers an interesting history.

“Thinking Differently”, the main reason behind the rise of apple. Apple was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ron Wayne in 1976. Starting from building the Apple I followed by Apple II and Apple III became the popular computers at the time. The quality and features of the computers were unmatchable by other companies and therefore, their sales were huge. In 1980, Apple became a public company and suddenly their share prices increased by a huge margin. They became the fastest growing company in the world.

1980s was a tough period for Apple. They were facing competitions with the rising IBM PCs and at the same time due to various internal conflicts and politics Steve Jobs resigned. Microsoft started releasing Windows and various PCs were manufactured and sold.

In 1997, Steve Jobs was reinstated as CEO of Apple and only after that things started running smoothly for Apple. The development of Apple skyrocketed once the agreement of Mac OS was done with the Microsoft. Steve Jobs’ “out of the box” thinking made many things possible for the company. Apple iPod released in 2001 followed by the iTunes Music Store in 2003 flourished the path of Apple in the direction they were aiming.

Later, in 2007, iPhone with iOS brought the mobile phone with the internet capable including the music and video features. Apple sold 6.1 million first generation iPhone units over four quarters of the year. Additions of elated features and the attracting modelling and design of the products broke the resistance of people to not to buy it. Sales in 2008 started surpassing many companies which made Apple the third largest mobile phone manufacturer by revenue, after Nokia and Samsung. With the launch of iPads and new generation of iPhone compacting with the new iOS versions, the sales reached up to 74.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2014. Sales of Mac computers also started increasing rapidly. The death of the visionary leader Steve Jobs in 2011, however didn't impact on the upgrowing sales of the company products which was well carried by Tim Cook. After each year Apple started hitting new benchmarks in every country and became the World`s first Trillion-dollar company in 2018. The company hit a $1tn market capitalisation 42 years after Apple was founded. It means Apple’s stock market value is more than a third the size of the UK economy and larger than the economies of Turkey and Switzerland.

With the unimaginable growth, there has been a downfall in sales of Apple products in the recent periods. The quarterly revenue was down by 5% in the current year than in 2018 and is expected to decline much more latter this year. The negative word of mouth has been a crucial factor for its declination. It’s failure to live up to people`s expectations have hampered the sales of Apple products. With the lack of appealing features in aristocratic design the fall is more to come. These days, the only consideration is making the product thinner and removing the ports which is being very baffling to the users. Basically, they are pissing off the users with the lack of vision and failure to be innovative. Every new product is somehow predictable, but people want something new, something never done before. If only the price rises with the same features and only changes are the sizes then of course, the graph will incline downwards. So, Apple must begin thinking extraordinary and do what Steve might have done.
